The Florida State University Psychology Clinic Offers Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapy Groups to the community. These groups are designed to address issues such as self-injurious and impulsive behaviors, emotional disregulation and internal turmoil. DBT is focused on changing harmful thoughts and behaviors through a framework of empathy and acceptance.
Groups are composed of 6-10 members and meet once a week for two hours in the evening. Groups are led by 2-3 therapists. The cost is $8 per session and requirements for membership are the completion of a screening interview and engagement in regular individual therapy.

The Behavioral Health Center at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital provides inpatient crisis stabilization services for both adults and children struggling with acute psychiatric issues and severe emotional disturbances. The Behavioral Health Center takes a multidisciplinary team approach to provide psychiatric and mental health care, group, family and individual therapy, individualized treatment planning, and discharge planning.
